HOW TO MAKE A HEADBOARD WITH SLATS (ACOUSTICAL PANELS)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • A level
  • A ruler
  • A saw, circular saw or a wagtail.
  • Screws
  • A hollow drill
    … and of course some acoustical panels.

Step 1: Horizontally or vertically?

There are more than one way make a headboard. You can choose to either do it with vertical slats or horizontal slats.

The first step is for you to decide on what you want to do.

Step 2: Find the middle of the wall.

First and foremost you need to find out where to place the panels. Most people chose to place the panels precisely in the middle of the wall behind the bed, which I personally find to be the best looking solution.

Put markings on the wall where you want to place the panels with a pencil.
